However, with a steam humidifier, you do not have to worry about molds and bacteria because they are killed as the water is boiled. This vaporizer portable humidifier can also be used as a breathing aid when a medical inhalant is added to the water. Since a steam humidifier is constantly hot, it is not advisable for rooms with children.

The warm air or cold air impeller and the ultrasonic require less energy but more cleaning. Such humidifiers should be maintained properly to keep the humidifier water from stagnating. The evaporative wick humidifier, which should also be cleaned regularly, is a self-regulating portable humidifier that adjusts according to the humidity level in the room.
