How is a Whole House Humidifier Installed?

This moderates or controls the humidity that enters into the house through the air conditioning system or the central heating. This humidifier actually works in three ways. It can work through a Drums system, a flow-through system or a spray mist system.
To function through a Drums system, a fabric belt is placed over the whole house humidifier’s water reservoir. The belt will then absorb the moisture from the water reservoir and will then pass the moisture through the air conditioner or the heater. It is very important that you regularly clean the water reservoir and change the fabric belt or foam if you want them to function properly. If you leave the water reservoir unclean for long periods of time, molds will likely accumulate. You will be placing your health at risk.
Basically with this system, mist is sprayed into the air conditioner’s or heater’s ducts. The whole house humidifier needs to be regularly clean if you are using water with high mineral content. The minerals in the water can end up blocking the system. If it not cleaned, you would likely have dirty air blown into your house.
When using a flow-through whole house humidifier system, you would have to use a constantly dripping aluminum pad. So once air is blown through the pad from the heating or air conditioning system, moisture will then be released around the house. You need to change the pad and clean the humidifier. Otherwise, you and your family will end up inhaling dirty air.
